Mother’s Day

Motherhood draws out strength beyond one’s natural capabilities, akin to stories of moms five times her weight to save her child. It’s a challenging yet joyful journey that evokes the best and worst in us. This poem reflects on motherhood as nurturing a flower—from planting to blooming— and highlights giving grace to both mothers and ourselves.

Treasures in Clay

Life is fleeting and God’s plans are eternal. Our earthly struggles may contribute to our spiritual formation, and we might only understand this once in heaven. As modeled in scripture, God molds us like a potter does clay. If we remain pliable, we become vessels for His grace, learning from Israel’s history and overcoming our sinful nature. Our trials may serve a greater purpose for our eternal souls, and we are reminded of our reliance on God’s transformative power.
